christmas items 2011

I have just added my first christmas items in my etsy shop!
I am glad to start it early this season. Because when I know Christmas will come so quickly.
Addition, my father will visit us soon, my husband and son's birthday, field trip of my son's school, Halloween... Oh wow I will be really busy. I am so excited!

set of 4 nine patch coasters

Here is the first item! I made set of 4 coasters from Michael Miller's Christmas fabric.

These fabric are left over from last season. But it is still stunning!

The color of the combination is very cute!!

I have two set of 4 coasters so far, hope I will make some more from scraps later.

I also made a quilted table runner.
OH I love this one so much!

It is hard to see in photo, but I used multi color thread to quilt.
And I quilted like a diamond.

More items will come!
I will work hard this weekend again!

I worked hard this weekend to figure out how I use these scrap into something nice for Christmas.
These are from my Christmas fabrics from last year.
For me, fight with these scrap is not easy. Each scrap has strange shape, short, long and too tiny......
On the other hand, it is also fun challenge!

I am very excited how these will turn out in the future.
However I am hurting my back, cutting, piecing, ironing and cutting again....
Probably I did too much. :-P

My son spent all day on Saturday in the house, because I am doing this project. So I took him to the park on Sunday. We brought lunch, so we had good picnic.  ( there is a big playground near my house. we can go there by walk. :) ) He enjoyed to play with other kids and riding bike together with the pretty girl.

I hope the weather becomes more cooler soon. It is almost October, but it is still hot in Central Valley in CA.

pillow cover : clearance sale!

I added some pillow covers in my shop.

These are new condition and never used. (size: 14", 16" and 12"x16")
However I kept them too long in the closet.
These are now clearance sale!

fall color in my house

wreath

Hello everyone!  I changed some of the decoration in my house recently.
This is the wreath for fall season. My husband made the base from grape vine a few years ago.
It looks like this photo usually. Pink, white and green wreath.

These are fake flowers. I just stick them on the base, so it is easy to change.
I took them out and put the new fake leaves and apples.

Fake flowers cost less $5 at Joann. I just bought one branch and cut to use it. It is great deal!

I put left over leaves/apples in the tin flower base to decorate in the living room.

This photo is the entrance. I decorated the mirror with the orange/black bunting.

I made this bunting earlier for my shop and sold. Thank you!

echino pillow cover/ black train

This is the last one! I made another pillow case from my favorite Echino fabric.

I choose black train fabric. I already had orange pillow case, so I think the black fabric to match the orange one for fall/Halloween season.

Addition, I am thinking to use this black pillow case in the playroom for my son later. ( I am planing to make playroom instead of the formal dining area.)

I have started to prepare for the Christmas items for my shop from this weekend.

It is 94F degree outside! HOT! It is hard to imagine about the Christmas.
But it will come.
Some of them came out very nice and pretty!
