origami garland & paper pompom

Today is my husband's birthday. We baked the cake and my son decorated the cake with strawberries & grapes.

Yesterday I decorated the room with origami garland.

This is very popular way to decorate the room in Japan.
I made a lot when I was child.
Now my boy helped me to make the garland long.

I will keep it until my son's birthday. ( His Birthday is coming soon.)

This is another decoration in our house. It is tissue paper pompom. It is very easy to make.
I am going to make more pompom for his birthday.
This decoration is also good for Halloween and thanksgiving. ;)

Anyways,  I will close my shop 16th to 22th of Oct.
I will travel to north California with my family.

pink baby quilt: 30"x 39.5"

I have finished the pink baby quilt. I am so proud of myself.
I love everything of this quilt.
Lovely color combination, girly taste but still modern look.

This is the close shot. I washed once with mild detergent.
I quilted diagonally. Just simple.

The corner. Yep. I did a good job.

The quilt batting is the warm and natural brand.
It is cotton 100% and very soft.

pink baby quilt

Some of my works are still in the middle. However this one is almost finished.
This pink/cream baby quilt is really cute!
This quilt is inspired one of my customer's baby girl.

I did not enough variety of pink fabrics, but I found the perfect charm pack here in Etsy.
I added more squares and white/red polka dots fabric for the border.

I don't take a picture, but I finished quilting this afternoon. it is very nice so far.
I will take care the edge( I usually zigzag stitch the edge before binding) and do binding tomorrow!
