sick day

Hello everyone, how are you?
I have been sick lately...
First I hurt my throat and now my voice sounds strange, I don't have a fever. That is somewhat good news.

I believe it was my son who  caught the cold first, he kindly tossed it to daddy, and now it I got it.
As a mother it is hard to avoid being sick.
Last year, I had a bad bad influenza. That was terrible.... It took almost one month to get well.

This year, I forced myself to get the flu shot in September. I hope my caughing does not become worser than it already is.

Green tea is good for the throat and my favorite drink.

My parents sent me a pack of green tea leaf last month.  The taste is much much better than the ones we can buy at the grocery store in US.

In my hometown, Shizuoka is the capital of green tea. We grow a lot of Green tea leaf.
In spring the first leaf is harvested as the first crop for green tea.  However, it is expensive becuase the flagrant and taste is the best!

This is the " kasutera " cake. (kind of pound cake)
Do you know why it colors green??

This is green tea "kasutera" cake. :)

I had a tea time with my son today.

Of course, He loves it!! YUMMY!!

I still have power to take a picture what I eat and post it on blog. So probably I will get better soon. ;)

Have a great weekend!
