I have been thinking to make my new bag for everyday use.
Finally I made it!!
The pattern is from my local quit shop. The original is piecing 6 different pattern(patchwork) to make the outer design.
I have a lot lot of fabrics, however I could not find the best combination for my bag. That is the mystery. :P
Instead of the patchwork, I just used only this fabric.

Yuwa from Japan |
Here is the fabric. What a beautiful it is!!
I purchased this beautiful blue flower fabric from YUWA in Japan last spring.
I think this is the best fabric to make a bag.
It contained 55% linen and 45% cotton. This is thicker than the cotton fabric for quilt, but less than home deco fabric.
I think half linen fabric is strong and suitable to make a large bag.
Plus the reason why I love this fabric is the texture.
I have never seen these rustic texture + soft touch fabric in US. Why?
This is the buttom.
I attached fleece batting for exterior fabric and also added firm stabilizer( pellon Peltex 71F) to the button.
One pocket. Liner fabric is pre-quilted beige color fabric from Joann.
It looks perfect!
BUT!! I only did one mistake.......
Can you see the hole top of the magnet button?
Yes,,,,, I did mistake the position....
Attaching the button is the very last part of process. I should not have rushed to finish it.
Anyways, I love my new bag, so I try to think the positive way! :)
Here is the another one!

Today I made the card case from left over.
Isn't it cute?
Not perfect, but it is ok for me.
